What love is, defines our lives. Love is relationship. Love is vertical when we practice object consciousness and invite the living God into our lives as our eternal parent. Love is horizontal as we exercise our human responsibility by harmonizing our minds and bodies. Love is beauty as we share the world with our brethren and practice altruism. Love is the miracle of creating life. Love is joy when nurturing a family. Love is eternal.
Inheriting the true love of God
" As we all know, Jesus Christ was not meant to die on the cross. He did not come to die. His mission in life was not to come and die on the cross. But the Heavenly Parent who loves his son and daughter, sent Jesus Christ as His son to be that person to find that beautiful woman that he can call his wife and stand together in the position of the True Parent, build that ideal family, and bring the world under this concept and under the reality of this thing called ‘one family under God.’
Jesus Christ would have done exactly what Dr. Sun Myung Moon is famous for. Had he found his wife and had he found and built his ideal family he would have started to bless other people. He would have started encouraging other people. The whole point of our existence here on earth is to experience the parental heart of God, to be that parent ourselves and to build the four position foundation which will become the building block, or cornerstone, of any great society, nation, and world."
What Jesus would have done, our True Father, our True Mother, our True Parents, that is what they are famous for. Just as Jesus would have blessed other people, asking all of humanity to graft onto God's lineage – Jesus would not have just talked about love, he would not have just been the paradigm of what a true life, or what a devout and eternal son would be all about – but with a wife by his side he would have been a model of an eternal son and daughter, coming together in this beautiful thing called the holy matrimony or the Blessing Ceremony – so not only are they wanting, or experiencing, or inspired by the love of our Heavenly Parent and the life that we have been given, that they would be encouraging everybody else, just like themselves, to graft onto the heavenly lineage of God.
If someone were to ask In Jin Nim, “What is your faith all about, in a nutshell?” She would have to answer, “The crux of our faith is to inherit the love of God.” Inheriting, in that we are not just talking about it or teaching people about it, we are not just feeling good about ourselves, but we are actually doing the physical work of becoming part of God's lineage.
You inherit something from your parents, because you are part of your parent's lineage. Likewise we inherit this true love of God and experienced for the first time what it feels to be a parent and thereby understanding how much God truly loves us, by experiencing and by truly substantiating this process of inheriting the true love of God.
